About

I think when I was a kid I assumed I would grow up, go to college, get a degree in my chosen field, then work in that profession until I retired… Not so much. I got my masters degree in clinical neuropsychology, dabbled (code for volunteered) in speech pathology, then took classes and got a teaching license in Pennsylvania and Oregon. I taught 2nd and 3rd grade, worked as a one-on-one reading specialist, and then taught kindergarten through sixth grade in the library, with a good deal of my time going toward techie stuff.  However, I’m not a librarian by training or at heart, so when budget cuts eliminated media specialists in the spring of 2011, I saw it as an opportunity to learn and explore again.   …This is good.
