Once again I’m linking up with Ginny’s yarn along. I’ve been making good progress on my bertrand louis cowl and am continuing to love the look of the stitches and the dimensionality that’s coming with the half brioche pattern. It feels wonderful too. I think I’m pretty close to done. I’m supposed to knit it until it’s 44cm and right now I’m at about 35cm.
I also started an infinity scarf using yarn by Manos del Uruguay. I’m using a pattern for a scarf from Joelle Hoverson’s book, Last Minute Knitted Gifts and just connecting the two ends to make the scarf continuous. I REALLY like the yarn… the colors, the feel, the weight, all of it. I’m not positive that I love the overall look of it once it’s knit together, but I’m going to keep knitting it, in hopes that once it’s paired with a solid colored shirt I will be okay with the overall look. Here’s what it looks like right now.
Finally, I’ve started knitting with the wonderful green, Barking Dog yarn I won last week.
In a couple of weeks my family is running in the Shamrock Run in Portland and I thought it would be fun to throw in a little green by knitting myself a hat for the occasion. I’ve also purchased a few fun shamrock-y items that I’ll show off in a post closer to the time of the run.
Now, last week’s contest…
The winner of the Crochet book, hooks, and yarn set is Laura from The Smiths’ Occasional Blog and Podcast. I have notified Laura of the big win and already have the set wrapped up and ready to go. I’ve had fun doing this giveaway and have already started thinking about what my next one will be… Be sure to check back and sign up for the next one. You can always sign up to “follow” the blog or you can “like” it on Facebook so you don’t miss out on a post. Thanks for playing!
What pretty knitting you’ve got on your needles — gorgeous colors!
I’m drooling over your Manos yarn. So beautiful!
It feels wonderful! I’m thinking I may need to get some more in a different color. I love working with it!
great colors–love the lantern moon needles, too!
The yarn for that Last Minute project is wonderful – what is it?
It’s by Manos del Uruguay. I can’t find the label right now, so I don’t know for sure on the color. Sorry. If I find it, I’ll let you know.
